Metlen, a global industrial and energy company, plans a EUR 25 million investment to upgrade recycled aluminum operations at its Greek subsidiary EP.AL.ME by integrating automated sorting, processing, and melting equipment.
The initiative equips EP.AL.ME to function as a collection and pre-processing center capable of managing complex post-consumer scrap streams from end-of-life products.
Processed materials will then move to Metlen's Aluminium of Greece facility to manufacture high-value goods, targeting a total production increase exceeding 250,000 tons.
The integrated process is designed to improve profit margins and lower environmental impact compared to primary metal production.
