Adjusted EBITDA excluding special items rose by 51% sequentially to US$901 million, accompanied by US$608 million in cash from operations and US$422 million in free cash flow.
Strategic milestones included signing a definitive agreement to acquire South32's bauxite, alumina, and aluminum assets, reaching a final investment decision for an Australian gallium plant, and approving a US$65 million upgrade at the Mosjøen smelter in Norway.
Alumina production dropped by 6% to 2.2 million metric tons due to the Pinjarra refinery instability and gas disruptions from Cyclone Narelle, while aluminum production grew by 5% to 636,000 metric tons driven by the San Ciprián smelter restarts.
