According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global refined aluminum production totaled 5.7727 million tons in September, and the consumption was 5.7876 million tons, so there was a supply shortage of 14,900 tons.
In the same month, global alumina production amounted to around 11.47 million tons.
