According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), global primary aluminum production was 6.0801 million tons in August, and consumption was 6.2635 million tons, so the supply was short of 183,400 tons.
In the first eight months of this year, global primary aluminum production amounted to approximately 47.63 million tons, and consumption was around 47.17 million tons, so there was a surplus of roughly 460,000 tons.
