It was reported that the new aluminum strip rolling mill under construction located in Kentucky, USA named Braidy Atlas LLC, which was financial formed by some retired senior managers and technical experts of the large aluminum companies and other enterprises. It was the only completely new and completely flat rolled green aluminum strip built in the US in 35 years.
This rolling mill will specialize in the production of 3xxx, 5xxx, and 6XXX alloy for automobile body sheet, and production was planned for next year.
Since the mid-1980s, no new aluminum strip plants have been built in the US, and only existing large aluminum strip rolling plants have been renovated or expanded to varying degrees. Therefore, the construction of the plant was of great significance.
The rolling mill will be the world's leading 4G aluminum strip rolling mill, with artificial intelligence, robotics and the Internet of things in every aspect from design to production management.
