It was reported that Taiwanese Ta Chen Stainless planned to purchase a steel rolling factory in Texas, the US to diminish the tariffs impact from the trade war. Ta Chen Stainless pointed out the best method to solve the tariffs issue among two nation’s trade war was to obtain a manufacture in the US.
Ta Chen Stainless was the primary stainless steel distributor in the US, also purchased stainless steel and aluminum products globally. This May, it proclaimed to invest about US$1 billion in the US to confront the increasing demand of aluminum and the tariffs from trade war.
The agreement between Ta Chen International and the US aluminum giant Arconic was published on October 1st, and was expected to pass through by the end of 2018. It was Ta Chen’s first try in the US.
