Taiwanese stainless steel distributor Ta Chen Stainless Pipe Co., Ltd. (TC) announced yesterday that it will acquire Alumax Mill Products, an Arconic subsidiary of Alcoa Corporation, through its subsidiary for US$350 million in order to establish local production capacity in the United States.
It was said to replace Made in China with Made in US. This transaction was expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018 and will be able to supply aluminum coils starting from the second quarter of 2019.
