According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the country produced around 57.8 million tons of aluminum in 2020, which increased by 8.6% compared to the previous year.
During the same period, the output of electrolytic aluminum had a year-on-year increase of nearly 5% to roughly 37.1 million tons, and that of alumina hiked by 0.3% year on year to approximately 73.1 million tons.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China said that the performance indicated stable growth and productivity in China’s aluminum industry.
