According to a report released by South32, a mining and metals company headquartered in Australia, the firm’s alumina production totaled around 1.28 million tons in the third quarter, up by 4% compared to the previous quarter.
As for aluminum, the output amounted to approximately 245,000 tons in the third quarter, rising by 1% from last quarter.
South32’s Hillside aluminum smelter in South Africa gained exemption from the blockade, so the operation was maintained.
