Lotte Aluminium, an aluminum foil manufacturer in South Korea, announced that it had a plan to raise the production capacity of the cathode foil production line at its plant in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, in order to meet the growing demand for electric vehicle (EV) batteries. Cathode foil is an important material for EV batteries production.
The annual production capacity of Lotte Aluminium’s cathode foil will increase to 12,000 tons from the current 3,000 tons.
