According to the operational report released by United Company RUSAL (RUSAL), the second-largest aluminum company in the world, as of the end of June this year, the firm’s aluminum production totaled around 940,000 tons in the second quarter, up by 1% compared to the previous quarter, of which its smelter in Siberia accounted for 93% of total production.
In addition, RUSAL said its sales volume of aluminum totaling around 1.8 million tons in the second quarter, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 20.8%. Among them, the sales volume of value-added products rose by 59.9% to 410,000 tons roughly, and the proportion of value-added products in the total rebounded to 38% as previously planned.
