It was reported that in a document issued on July 19th, the US Bureau of Industry and Security has authorized Rusal's subsidiary in the US to be exempted from Section 232 tariffs for aluminum profiles. The document didn't mention the sanctions on Russian oligarch Oleg and the Ukrainian ruble.
The current prices in the US metal market rose by 63.6% from the beginning of this year. The reduction in Rusal's supply was a major factor to boost prices.
