It was reported that Bogoslovsky aluminium plant (BAZ), owned by United Company RUSAL (RUSAL), has begun the final stage of the new equipment’s cleaning and overhauling.
RUSAL will allocate a total of 809 million rubles for the modernization of the plant, which was planned to be completed by the end of 2020.
According to Vladislav Kazachkov, the general director of BAZ, the new equipment will significantly improve the safety level of working conditions. In addition, boosting productivity could make BAZ closer to its strategic goal of annual output 1.03 billion tons of alumina.
