RUSAL announced on July 19, 2021 that it has deployed a neural network to monitor the quality of aluminum ingots produced by the Irkutsk Aluminum Smelter.
The surface quality of small aluminum ingots during the production will be automatically checked by this new system, and all defects will be saved as an analytical diagram. Employees can adjust the parameters based on the defective aluminum ingots found by them as per the selected defective type and size of the products’ specifications.
The video monitoring system will be integrated with the existing automatic production process control system for the casting production line.
