According to the report released by Rio Tinto, in the second quarter of 2019, the firm’s bauxite production was around 13.41 million tons, which increased by 1% year on year, also up by 5% month on month. The production of alumina was around 1.88 million tons, down by 6% year on year and quarter on quarter.

The reduction in alumina production was due to short supply in bauxite and alumina refinery in an overhaul.

Besides, electrolytic aluminum production was around 800,000 tons, which kept stable year on year and up by 1% quarter on quarter.
