Rio Tinto, a leading global mining group, confirmed that it has started reducing the aluminum production at its aluminum smelter in Kitimat, Canada.
The production will be cut to 35% by Rio Tinto, due to a strike launched by Unifor Local 2301, representing the Canadian workers, after the failure to reach an agreement for the negotiation with Rio Tinto.
