Rio Tinto, an Anglo-Australian multinational mining company, announced last Thursday (November 28th) that with the ending of an eight-day long rail strike, it will resume aluminum shipments in Canada.

The strike began on the 19th of November. Early last week, Rio Tinto declared force majeure on all aluminum shipments originating from the dominion. However, the Canadian National Railway and the Teamsters Canada made an agreement last Tuesday and resumed railway operations last Wednesday.

Rio Tinto said that with the resumption of the shipment, they will try their best to reduce the loss for the customers.
