Novelis South America said that if the aluminum demand in China declined, the price of aluminum will go down.
On the other hand, high quality aluminum ingot price was expected to be stable with the US market price, but the two market were totally different.
Novelis mentioned that the trend of LME exchange price was going down, aluminum price will suffer from the pressure of downward in the next few months and it was estimated that the demand for aluminum in China dropped also.
In the first half of 2018, the aluminum demand for packing, transportation, energy, consuming electrical industry were higher than the same period of last year.
Novelis thought that the demand of aluminum in Brazil will rebound and the demand for construction will also increase.
