According to statistics, North American primary aluminum production totaled 313,000 tons, up by nearly 4% compared to the previous month but falling by 1.6% from the same month a year ago.
During the period, the output of primary aluminum in South America was 120,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 4.34% and a year-on-year hike of 20%.
In the first ten months of this year, North American primary aluminum production reached 3.11 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.18%; South American output amounted to 1.05 million tons, rising by 8.7%.
