On March 19th, the fourth largest aluminum supplier Norsk Hydro suffered a grave cyberattack, which provoked the interruption of some of its plants. Despite everthing, the plants in La Roca (Barcelona), la Selva (Tarragona), Pinto (Madrid), Irurtzun (Navarra) and Avintes (Portugal) have been maintaining the regular production and operation.
Regarding this, the vice executive president of this group, Egil Hogna, affirmed that for the moment around 85%-90% of its production has been recovered without more problem and difficulty.
After all, this group obtained more than 35,000 employees in 40 countries, thus it was highly relevant to recover the habitual production capacity in order to maintain its operation. Lastly, Hogna also asseverated there won’t be any problem on the delivery of its articles.
