According to the reports, PT Bintan Alumina Indonesia (BAI), a subsidiary of Nanshan Aluminum Co., Ltd., planned to increase capital to expand the second-phase alumina project of Bintan Nanshan Industrial Park, Indonesia.
The project was planned to be built in Bintan Island, Indonesia. Besides, the construction period was 24 months and the total output was 1 million tons. After the project was completed, BAI will have more competitive advantages over Australian alumina suppliers.
It was estimated that expanding the company's overseas alumina production scale will enable BAI to obtain stable downstream customers and lock in the market ahead of schedule.
