Nanshan Aluminium, a major alumina producer in China, planned to launch the first phase of an alumina project in Bintan Island, Indonesia by the end of 2020.
It was understood that the construction part of this alumina project, with an annual capacity of 1 million tons, has started from early this year.
The first phase has started from the beginning of this year, and the construction of the second phase was expected to be launched in the middle of next year, with the ready ordered equipment.
