Arzyz Metals, a Mexican recycled aluminum alloy company, planned to invest US$650 million to expand its plant in Ciénega de Flores, in Nuevo León state. The expansion will create 1,300 new job opportunities.
Arzyz Metals has an annual installed capacity of 240,000 tons at its two plants in Cienega de Flores and Apodaca, which bring more than 1,500 direct and indirect jobs. The company also runs operations in the US, the UK, Canada, and Switzerland.
Governor Samuel García said Nuevo Leon maintains economic growth with this expansion plan. More than 270 new projects or expansions have been registered during his three years in office, and 220,000 jobs were created.
