According to related reports, the Malaysian government was about to issue mining licenses to some bauxite mining areas by the end of January.

The news also confirmed the previous speech from Xavier Jayakumar, Malaysia's water, land, and natural resources minister, that those licenses would be issued after a 6 months monitoring process.

The goal for the Pahang government was to find out the loopholes and improved it.

The previous ban policy in 2015 was caused by the negative feedback from the residents regarding pollution by those unethical bauxite ore mining companies.

As one of the countries with the highest output of bauxite in the world, Malaysia's every move would have a certain impact on the global aluminum industry.
