On November 15th, 2018, the official gazette of the Lebanese government issued the preliminary decision of the ministry of Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade on the anti-dumping investigation of aluminum profiles.
According to the decision, Lebanon imposed the provisional anti-dumping duties of 20% and 14% on aluminum products from China and the United Arab Emirates. The measure had a duration of four months. The tax codes of the products involved were 76041090, 76042100, 76042990 and 76109090.
If the importer was a locally registered factory, the import of the product concerned as raw material for a major local industry will not be subject to the anti-dumping duty, but will be subject to the supervision and control of the customs in accordance with industrial norms.
