According to statistics from the Japan Aluminum Association (JAA), the imports of unwrought non-alloyed aluminum in Japan totaled around 110,000 tons in September, up by 1.3% compared to the same month a year ago; those of unwrought alloyed aluminum were around 90,000 tons, sliding by 1.8% from September last year.
Besides, the exports of aluminum plates and strips had a year-on-year decrease of 2.9% to 14,000 tons roughly, and those of aluminum foil were up by 5.6% year on year to 5,700 tons.
