Noranda Bauxite Ltd., a bauxite company in Jamaica, announced that it exported a total of around 3.8 million tons from its bauxite facility in St Ann, Jamaica in 2019, and the main customers were its sister company Noranda Alumina and third-party companies in Asia and the US.
Noranda Bauxite is the only bauxite producer who has a license for exporting bauxite in Jamaica. According to statistics, Noranda Bauxite exported around 2 million tons of bauxite from the deepwater port in St Ann every year.
