It was learned from the Baotou City 2024 Aluminum Industry Green and High-Quality Development Conference that the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region’s electrolytic aluminum production capacity was 6.51 million tons in 2023, ranking second in the country, and the aluminum post-processing output reached 5.093 million tons, forming an aluminum industry cluster with Baotou and Tongliao as the core.

Baotou Aluminium has currently built a domestically advanced 600kA electrolytic aluminum production line and was rated as a “National Green Factory.” With the construction of 2.1 million kW of new energy projects, the proportion of green power has increased, highlighting the obvious advantages of green development.

Baotou City’s current electrolytic aluminum production capacity reaches 2.801 million tons, accounting for 6.2% of the country and 43% of the autonomous region. Its downstream processing capacity totals 3.68 million tons, covering many types of high-end products.
