It was reported that the Inner Mongolia Department of Industry and Information Technology issued the Inner Mongolia Autonomous region traditional industry high-quality development implementation plan.
According to the plan, Inner Mongolia will build electrolytic aluminum projects with a production capacity of 3 million tons in Baotou, Ordos and Tongliao through capacity replacement, supporting layout a batch of projects for aluminum profiles, aluminum plates, strip, foil, aluminum alloys, etc.
The production capacity of electrolytic aluminum will be controlled at 10 million tons roughly, and the processing capacity of aluminum can reach 7 million tons by 2022.
