According to the research report from ICICI Securities, the EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) of Hindalco Industries Ltd., a leading aluminum and copper company in India, was around Rs. 9.05 billion in the third quarter, plunging by 48% compared to the same period a year ago. The drop was due to the decreasing sales volume and prices of copper and aluminum.
ICICI Securities also said that Hindalco’s EBITDA in the third quarter might drop by 15% from the previous quarter due to a slight decline in copper EBITDA and a fall in aluminum EBITDA by 22%.
