According to a report released by Hindalco Industries Ltd., a leading aluminum and copper company in India, during the period from April to June, the firm’s alumina production totaled around 690,000 tons, dropping by 9,000 tons from the same period a year ago, mainly due to the operation suspension caused by a spillage accident at Hindalco’s Muri alumina refinery in April.
Besides, during the same period, Hindalco’s aluminum production increased by 3,000 tons to 326,000 tons compared to the same period a year earlier.
