Ashapura, a mining company in India, has launched the trial production of bauxite in Guinea in January this year. The total production in January to February was around 200,000 tons.
The test results showed that the content of alumina in Guinea bauxite was not less than 46% and that of silicon dioxide was less than 2%. Ashapura said that it would base on the trial production this year, so it was difficult to confirm the annual production. But Ashapura targeted its production of bauxite at around 10 million tons next year, with an annual production capacity of 15 million tons.
