According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global primary aluminum output amounted to around 5.51 million tons in January this year, decreasing by 4.46% compared to the same period a year ago.
Among them, the output from China, the major producer in the world, was estimated at 3.1 million tons, compared to the revised 3.109 million tons in the previous month.
