According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global alumina production totaled 12.512 million tons in August, slightly growing by 0.008% from the figure in the previous month.
The daily average production in August was 403,600 tons, basically the same as the figure in July.
In the given month, the estimated alumina production in China was 7.4 million tons, and the output in Africa and Asia, excluding China, was 1.225 million tons. Alumina production in Oceania was 1.389 million tons.
