Hindalco Industries Limited, an Indian aluminum and copper manufacturer, reported that its alumina production hiked by 20% year on year to 3.24 million tons in the fiscal year 2022 ending March this year, due to higher capacity at its Utkal Alumina refinery in Odisha.
During the period, Hindalco’s sales of alumina totaled 359,000 tons, and the company’s sales target of alumina was 4000,000 tons for the current fiscal year ending March 2023.
In terms of aluminum, Hindalco produced a total of nearly 1.3 million tons during the 2022 fiscal year, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%; the sales volume was up by 4.2% year on year to 1.3 million tons.
