Hindalco Industries Ltd., a leading aluminum and copper company in India, has followed the government’s direction to temporarily close or cut operation at some aluminum production facilities due to coronavirus epidemic outbreak, and the firm also implemented several policies to safeguard its employees’ health and safety.
Besides, Novelis, Hindalco’s subsidiary based in the US, also shut down some plants and decreased aluminum production for the automobile market since the US automakers temporarily suspended their production due to the coronavirus epidemic, but the firm continued the aluminum production for beverage cans and other special markets.
