According to the report issued by the Guinean Ministry of Mines and Geology, in the first 9 months of this year, Guinean bauxite output totaled around 51.4 million tons, of which 47.9 million tons were for export. Besides, Guinean alumina output was 242,000 tons roughly, all of which were produced by RUSAL's Friguia alumina refinery and all for exporting.
It was expected that Guinean bauxite output might reach 69 million tons in 2019, a year-on-year increase of nearly 20%. Moreover, the output might exceed 80 million tons in 2020, coupled with the main projects in production and other projects in pre-production.
