It was reported that Société des Bauxites de Guinée (SBG), a Guinea-based alumina and bauxite company, suspended its production in early July due to heavy rainfall, and the production was expected to be resumed after the rainy season in early October.
The firm started bauxite production in early May this year, and the output so far has reached roughly 200,000 tons, which haven’t been exported yet.
SBG had a plan to start exporting bauxite after completing the terminal construction at the end of October. The firm aimed to produce around 300,000 tons of bauxite this year.
