According to Société Minière de Boké (SMB), a company specialized in bauxite mining in Guinea, SMB had completely shut down its bauxite production in the past 10 days due to the miners’ strike.
Around 1-1.2 million tons of bauxite production was impacted by the strike, and the daily economic loss reached as high as US$1 million.
