Gränges, a leading global aluminum supplier, announced an investment of US$52 million to expand its recycling and casting capacity at operations in Huntingdon, Tennessee. This investment will help Gränges to reach its goal of launching near-zero carbon aluminum solutions by 2024 and to meet the growing demand for sustainable products in North America.
Another 25,000 tons of production capacity will be added by the investment, and Gränges Americas’ total aluminum production capacity will reach 260,000 tons.
Jörgen Rosengren, CEO and President of Gränges, said that sustainability and recycling are two key parts of the company’s business model and strong drivers of long-term competitiveness and value creation.
