According to the market news, Raffmetal, Europe's largest producer of recycled aluminum, decided to stop its production from March 16th to 22nd due to the spread of the new coronavirus (2019 nCoV) in Italy.
It was understood that the company produced about 250,000 tons of recycled aluminum ingots a year, most of which were 226 aluminum ingots.
During the downtime, Raffmetal would continue to deliver orders for finished products, but its purchases of all scrap and raw materials would be suspended.
It was also understood that the raw metal silicon from the factory imported from China.
