It's reported that according to the World Trade Organization (WTO) Safeguards Committee, on April 16th, 2020, Egypt launched a safeguard investigation on the import of raw aluminum (ingots, billets, and wire rod).
The Egyptian tax numbers of the products involved were under 7601.10, 7601.20, and 7605.11.
According to the content of the safeguards agreement, Egypt could impose temporary safeguard measures on imported products.
