Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA), had announced it has started to export bauxite from the Republic of Guinea.

In order to reduce dependence on imports, EGA has invested US$1.4 billion, the largest investment for EGA in the near 40 years, to integrate the upstream resources.

In conclusion, this news not only showed the annual bauxite output of GAC might achieve 12 million tons but also showed EGA has successfully completed the expansion of upstream in aluminum industry chain, becoming an actual aluminum giant in the market.
