Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), the world’s biggest premium aluminum producer based in the UAE and the largest industrial company in the UAE outside the oil and gas industry, has completed the expansion of Al Taweelah smelter in Abu Dhabi, which will raise its annual production capacity by 78,000 tons.
Due to the growing demand for aluminum products after the global economy recovers, EGA had a strong performance in the first half of this year. In the first six months of this year, the firm’s adjusted Ebitda hiked to Dh3.49 billion.
