According to the European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA), European aluminum foil delivery in the third quarter of 2022 slightly dropped by 0.3% year on year to 237,800 tons.
In spite of a slight decrease in the third-quarter delivery, the year-to-date delivery of aluminum foil was 0.4% higher than the figure in the previous year. The third-quarter performance was solid in all markets.
Guido Aufdemkamp, executive director of EAFA, said that the market for thinner gauges, mainly for flexible packaging and household foils, is continuing to grow, and it was expected this growth will continue in 2023.
