China is one of the main manufacturers of aluminum in the world. However, as per the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) and the National Statistics Office (NSO), in 2019 China produced less aluminum than in 2018.
On the other hand, the production of aluminum in this whole world during 2019 fell down a little by 1.0% as well. However, this decrease in the production volume of this material didn’t make prices hike.
Aluminum touched US$1,705/ton in October of 2019. All this phenomenon was due to the low demands on this material last year. This situation made the producers of this material in other countries were also suffering this pressure. It was understood that all the price tendency was up to the demands for the products.
Demands for aluminum affect prices tendency greatly
