The construction of the 400,000-ton aluminum alloy flat ingot project in Zhaotong, Yunnan, invested by Chalco Green Advanced Aluminum Base Material (Yunnan) Co., Ltd., was started on December 26, with a total cost of CNY 720 million.
It was planned to be completed in 18 months, with an annual output of 400,000 tons after being put into operation.
The project would use 700,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum liquid as raw material and focus on producing flat ingots for aluminum processing. It has environmental protection and energy-saving benefits and will become one of the domestic high-end aluminum alloy production lines.
