Commerzbank analysts said that global aluminum supply will remain tight due to the pressure on profit margins of China’s aluminum smelters, and major aluminum producers Norsk Hydro and Rusal have warned that aluminum supply is likely to continue the shortage.
Commerzbank expected that aluminum prices will rise again in the near future. The recent price drop might be consumers’ opportunity for hedging.
