Experts from Commerzbank predicted that in the next few years, the slowdown in aluminum production growth in China, the major producing country, will push up aluminum prices.
Since the beginning of this year, the price of aluminum futures on the London Metal Exchange (LME) has increased by about 6.5%, slightly higher than that of other metals. The analysis pointed out that changes in supply and demand may push aluminum prices to around US$2,800/ton in the second half of 2025.
As an important raw material for many industries, aluminum's price fluctuations not only affect the profits of suppliers and manufacturers but also have a profound impact on the entire industry chain and the global economy.
