According to the report, Chinese Henan Shenhuo Group would begin operation of its aluminum smelter with an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons in the Wenshan prefecture of Yunnan province at the end of December, which was delayed due to the bad weather and supposed to start up in July this year.
The plant would soon reach full production rate by March 2020. The company was aiming to move annual aluminum smelting production of 450,000 tons from Henan to Yunnan, which was the first phase of its project for moving a total of 900,000 tons.
